Vaccination in Colombia

Which vaccines are included in Colombia's vaccination schedule?

Colombia's Expanded Program on Immunization (PAI) includes vaccines for different stages of life and protects against diseases such as tuberculosis, hepatitis B, diphtheria, pertussis, tetanus, polio, rotavirus, pneumococcal disease, influenza, yellow fever, measles, rubella, mumps, chickenpox, and hepatitis A. The schedule and recommended ages may be updated according to the Ministry of Health's guidelines.

What other vaccines may be recommended?

In addition to vaccines included in the national schedule, other vaccines may be recommended depending on age, medical history, occupation, travel, or health conditions. Adults may need vaccines such as influenza, COVID-19, pneumococcal, hepatitis, tetanus, shingles, or HPV vaccines, among others, depending on their individual circumstances and risk factors.

Where can I get vaccinated?

Vaccines included in Colombia's PAI are available at authorized vaccination centers throughout the country. Additional vaccines may also be available at specialized vaccination centers and private healthcare facilities. A healthcare professional can review your vaccination history and determine which vaccines are due or may be recommended.
