A physical therapist is a healthcare professional specialized in the evaluation, prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation of injuries and conditions that affect movement and physical function.

Physical therapy helps patients with muscle pain, sports injuries, back problems, herniated discs, tendonitis, fractures, sprains, facial paralysis, stroke recovery, neurological conditions, and post-surgical rehabilitation.

It is recommended to see a physical therapist after an injury, surgery, accident, or when experiencing chronic pain, mobility problems, or physical limitations in order to receive proper treatment and improve quality of life.

A physical therapist uses different techniques such as therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, massage therapy, electrical stimulation, stretching, ultrasound therapy, dry needling, and muscle strengthening programs to relieve pain, improve mobility, restore physical function, and prevent future injuries.

Physical therapy can also help reduce the need for medications, improve posture, increase functional independence, and accelerate the return to daily, sports, and work activities.
