<li>Tener conocimiento del antipirético (idealmente acetaminofén) adecuada para el peso de su niño</li>
<li>Esperar de 45 min a 1 h que actúa el medicamento, no es inmediato.</li>
<li>No usar alcohol o agua fría. Produce vasoconstricción,  no permite disipar el calor</li> 
<li>No usar aspirina en los niños  </li>
<li>En menores de 6 meses  no utilizar ibuprofeno </li>
<li>Consultar a urgencias si tiene somnolencia, rechazo alimentos, convulsiones, vómitos,  color morado en las piel y mucosas   o síntomas de dolor localizado</li>
<li>Mantener la calma  y  si esta bien  dejalo dormir  no levantarle para darle antipiréticos</li>
