Maxilofacial Fragozo

An oral and maxillofacial surgeon is a medical and dental specialist who diagnoses and surgically treats conditions affecting the mouth, teeth, jaw, face, and neck. This includes procedures such as wisdom tooth extraction, correction of facial deformities, treatment of facial fractures, dental implant placement, and surgery for temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders. It is recommended to consult this specialist when experiencing persistent jaw pain, difficulty chewing or opening the mouth, facial injuries, impacted teeth, or bone loss in the jaw. You should also seek their care when a complex oral surgery is needed beyond the scope of general dentistry.
