Facial fillers

What are facial fillers?

Facial fillers are all those products used to provide volume on the face or correct the effects of aging. These products are biocompatible materials, which are used to correct wrinkles and grooves or to give volume to certain areas of the face, such as the lips, achieving greater harmony of the face and returning lost volumes.

What are facial fillers for?

These fillers help to reduce nasogenial grooves, which in many patients the facelift does not completely eliminate. Today the most used products are hyaluronic acid and calcium hydroxyapatite. More and more people are encouraged to improve their physical appearance and all thanks to the new aesthetic treatments with facial fillers, which do not require going through the operating room or anesthesia.

The passage of time causes the reabsorption and sagging of the fatty tissues filling facial areas, such as cheekbones, cheeks, and mandibular flange; which gives rise to an "emaciated" appearance and makes the patient have an appearance of continuous tiredness.

With the fall of the natural filling tissues of the face, the first surpluses of skin appear and the tissues descend, furrows appear and lack of fullness in the skin. The suborbital groove is marked, which is the one that starts from the inner angle of the eye and crosses the cheek, splitting it in half. This groove is due to the reabsorption of soft tissues at the level of the cheekbones and the repositioning of the suborbital eye fat.

The nasogenian groove appears due to the disappearance of the cheekbone filling tissue as well as the cheeks. The fall of these tissues marks the appearance of the surconasogenian. Finally, the puppet lines, which start from the corners of the mouth and fall vertically towards the lower edge of the chin and give a sad aspect to the peribucal region.
